Privacy Policy

Edulink ("we", "our", "the app") is a study and learning platform for university students. This page explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including how to delete your account and data.

Information we collect

Account information

• Email address and password (used for sign-in via Firebase Authentication)
• Display name, university, academic level, and course, which you provide during registration

Content you create

• Posts, comments, and voice-note replies you choose to share
• Images and voice recordings you upload to posts or comments
• Your follows/followers and likes on posts and comments

Usage and learning data

• Study time, quiz results and accuracy, streaks, and lesson progress
• Messages you send to the AI Tutor feature (see "Third-party services" below)

Automatically collected information

• Basic device and app diagnostics needed to keep the app running reliably
• Advertising identifiers, if you see ads in the app (see AdMob below)

How we use this information

• To provide core app features: your account, courses, quizzes, study tracking, and social feed
• To show your posts, comments, and profile to other users as intended by the app's social features
• To send you in-app notifications (e.g. someone followed you or commented on your post)
• To process subscription purchases, if you choose to subscribe to Plus or Pro
• To maintain and improve the app's reliability and security

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Third-party services we use

Each of these providers processes data under their own privacy policies and security practices, in addition to the protections described here.

Data storage and security

Your data is stored using industry-standard providers (Google Firebase and Cloudflare) with access controls limiting who can read or modify it. We do not have direct access to your account password — authentication is handled by Firebase.

Your choices and rights

Deleting your account

You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time, directly in the app: Settings → Account Actions → Delete account. This removes your posts, comments, likes, follows, and your account itself. This action cannot be undone.

If you no longer have the app installed, you can request deletion by emailing us at the address below — include the email address associated with your account so we can locate and remove it.

Accessing or correcting your data

Most of your information (display name, university, course) can be edited directly in Settings. For anything else, contact us using the details below.

Children's privacy

Edulink is intended for university students and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
