Delete your Edulink account

Edulink: the social network for university students

You can ask us to delete your Edulink account and the data that goes with it. There are two ways to do it.

1. In the app (fastest)

Open Edulink and sign in.
Open Settings, then go to Account actions and tap Delete account.
Confirm that it is you: enter your password or, if you signed up with Google or Apple, choose that account again.

Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

2. If you can't open the app

Email us a request, and send it from the same email address you signed up to Edulink with, so we can find your account.

Subject line: "Delete my Edulink account". Please include your username if you remember it.

What gets deleted

Your profile, rank and Clout, and your GitHub and Spotify links
Your posts, comments and community Room messages
Your username, which then becomes available for someone else to use
Your chats, and your lists of followers and people you follow
Your sign-in account, including any link to Google or Apple sign-in (for Apple, we also revoke Edulink's access to your Apple ID)
Photos and voice notes you uploaded

What may be kept

Reports about abuse that involve you, where we need them to keep people safe or to follow the law.

How long it takes

In the app: your account, profile and posts are deleted straight away. Anything left over, such as your messages in other people's chats and files you uploaded, is removed within 30 days.

By email: we finish deleting your account within 30 days of your request.

Deleting an account is permanent and cannot be undone.
